About the data

Spell names, ranks, levels, costs, cooldowns and tooltips come from the World of Warcraft: Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70009, updated September 29, 2026.

Where it comes from

The game client carries database tables for every spell, item, class and talent, and wago.tools publishes those tables for each client build. The spell and item lists are built from them: 483 class spells across the nine classes, plus racials, pet abilities, mounts and profession actions, 5,982 items with a Use effect and 6,767 you can equip.

The same tables still hold Season of Discovery runes that Forever doesn't use. Those are left out by rule, and the result is compared with the Forever spellbooks on foreverchanges.pro. Each build is also compared with Classic Era (build 1.15.9.69722) to see what Forever added, removed or changed.

Tooltips

Tooltips are filled in from the description templates in those tables, the way the game fills them in. They were compared with the tooltips of two beta characters in the game, and 1,876 of 1,877 spell descriptions matched. The one that didn't is Astral Recall, whose tooltip names your hearth location.

Numbers are for a level 60 character with no talents or gear. Where a tooltip adds your Spirit or attack power, that part shows as 0.

The checker

The slash commands, conditions and limits the checker knows are the ones in the Forever client's interface code, and spell and item names are checked against the lists above. A few rules haven't been confirmed in the beta yet, such as pinning a rank with Frostbolt(Rank 1) and the numbers for forms and stances in [form:1]. When a macro relies on one of them, the checker says so.

Icons

Icons are taken from the beta client's files and served from this site as images; nothing loads from other sites.

New builds

When a new Forever build comes out, the data is rebuilt, and the build number and date at the bottom of every page change with it. Costs, cooldowns and tooltip numbers can change between builds, and now and then a spell is renamed or removed.

Privacy

No accounts and no cookies. The builder runs in your browser, and the macros you make aren't sent anywhere. The pages are served by Cloudflare, and Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies or personal data.
